The Start of MGoTravel
MGoTravel started as Satish’s Instagram handle when he left to work abroad on a rotation program for Bosch. While he was abroad living in Stuttgart, he travelled almost every weekend to a different European city. If you scroll down far enough on our Instagram account (@mgotravel), you’ll find some OG posts from Europe circa 2016.
Beginning MGoTravel Blog
After a 5.5 hiatus of Instagram and being pestered by Satish with requests to get a new hobby, Sylvia decided to repurpose Satish’s Instagram for blogging. We began by posting our honeymoon in Greece and finally launched MGoTravel blog end of September 2022.
What is the MGo in MGoTravel?
If you’re a University of Michigan fan, alumni, or follower, than your guess of what MGo meant is correct. “MGo” is a term usually put at the beginning of University of Michigan slogans – MGoBlue, MGoBlog, MGoGala, MGo[insert event name]. Satish originally picked the name because it wasn’t yet taken on Instagram. Now, it represents how we met, and, how we travel – lots of times wearing Michigan gear!
